I photographed a family in Barcelona, Catalonia, close to the places that belong to their everyday life. We moved between a neighborhood café, a park, colorful flowers, and the streets near their home.
Starting somewhere familiar
Beginning near home helped everyone settle into the session naturally. There was no need to perform for the camera: we could talk, walk, and let expressions arrive in their own time. The result was warm and easygoing from the first photographs.
A city full of gentle backdrops
Barcelona gave us color and texture everywhere we turned. Flowers framed the family, while a charming street and soft background blur created quieter portraits. The locations supported the family’s personality instead of overwhelming it.
Every relationship deserves a photograph
Alongside the full family portraits, I photographed the couple, each parent with their son, and the siblings together. Changing the combinations brings out different expressions and makes the final gallery feel more personal.
Photographs connected to real life
Travel landmarks can be wonderful, but familiar places hold another kind of meaning. A café you visit and a park where you spend time become part of the family history. Thank you for sharing those places with me—I hope we meet again in Barcelona.
